My career has been anything but average, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Spanning more than two decades of work experience in different sectors, I've had a variety of roles, all of which have helped shaped who I am today - a heart centered, grounded and holistic Social Worker and Therapist. My journey began when I was a camp counsellor where I facilitated my first leadership program when I was 17 years old. From there, I volunteered with street kids in Honduras, spent a month at a medical anthropology field school in Northern Peru, worked as a Student Life professional at both Western University and the University of Toronto and spent the last several. years supporting those with kidney disease change the research culture in Canada.
In all of these roles supporting folks through personal and professional challenges was a large part of my work. Now, having recently completed my Masters of Social Work degree, I’m weaving my lived experience, recent and ongoing learning about mental health and psychotherapy, into my work as a Social Worker and Therapist. I’ve finally figured out “what I want to be when I grow up” and it’s clear that all paths have led me here.
